The Sky of Zoom

The deep fathomless sky gets to me at the end of a day on Zoom.

Zoom is the world now, maybe for several years from now. Who is this new god I rely upon, for social and financial connections? I already don’t like him.

My one-bedroom apartment is not a television studio for senior fitness. I don’t like stepping over a laundry basket and a green screen that arrived without the tubing to support it. The tubing will come in another month or so, from Amazon, of course. So will the selfie stick with its round makeup mirror.

After connecting, which was Zoom 1.0, now participants expect production value. The electric bill is going up. My spending on gadgets is going up. Up, up, up to the deep fathomless sky..
